August 02, 2018 Canmore 18-Hole Interclub Event
20 golfers waited out a pre-round lightning storm that delayed starting times by almost an hour. Great patience, golfers! Today the highlights included a nice even-par round of 71 from Jayson Bugera to take low gross honors, while Chris Colberg from Bearspaw recorded a personal best round of 78 that led him to capture the low net victory. Justin Hughes from Canmore also scored a personal best with a steady round of 74. We thought `balls for birdies` had a nice ring to it, so we awarded balls to anyone who made a birdie today - 15 balls were handed out in all, including Jayson Bugera and Patrick Miller with 3 apiece! Happy Birthday to Ivan Tovar from Elbow Springs - enjoy your new Callaway hat! Every group finished their rounds in 4:15 or less today - excellent job, everyone! Finally, thanks to all of you for making the trip to the mountains - and to all the parents who did the driving (and the waiting)! See you next year.
